In Japan and many other countries across Asia, ornamental plates are used as decoration around the house. They come in many different shapes and sizes and usually depict a certain theme. In Japanese, these ornamental plates are called Kazarizara (飾り皿), which can literally be translated to display plate.
This specific Kazarizara is handmade and has a very traditional appearance. The plate comes with the original wooden chest.
