Shikoku Daiseki, Japanese Display Stone

Item description - YO07010161
The term Daiseki or Dai-ishi (台石) is used in Japan to describe relatively high stones with a flat top. These stones can serve as a platform for displaying decorations. Think of Bonsai, Suiseki, Ikebana, small lanterns, and antiques. This makes it very important that the top of the Daiseki is horizontal. If the stone is not flat at the bottom as well, this can for example be achieved with wooden wedges or by placing the stone partly into the ground.
Bonsai pictured not included.
