Seidōryū no Zō, Bronze Dragon Statue

This antique dragon statue is hand-made from bronze in Japan. The statue is beautifully detailed and shows a dragon resting on top of a cloud. In its claws the dragon holds a ball. This symbolizes the creatures power over the world. The same phenomenon is seen in Shishi or Komainu statues.
On the bottom of the statue there are the Kanji characters for Hōkō (放光). This is Japanese for an emission of light.
