Ryu no Zo, Japanese Dragon Statue Ornament - This antique dragon statue is hand-made from iron in Japan. It shows a detailed dragon holding a ball in its claw. This symbolizes the creatures power over the world. The same phenomenon is seen in Shishi or Komainu statues. Dragon statues like this are known as Ryū no Zō (龍の像) in Japanese.
This statue can be used as a Tenpai (添配), which is a small ornament that is displayed together with a Bonsai to accentuate its qualities.
