This antique Japanese dragon statue is a very special addition to any water fountain. The ornament beautifully shows a dragon climbing up a Yari (槍), which is a Japanese spear. Statues and ornaments of dragons are used very often in fountains in Japan. Throughout the whole country, many wonderful examples can be found around temples, shrines and gardens. These dragon statues are called Funsui Ryū no Zō (噴水龍の像), which is Japanese for the Dragon Statue of the Water Fountain.
