An authentic Japanese garden at the front of a cozy home
During this project, we designed and constructed this Japanese front garden in the east of The Netherlands. After pleasant conversations with our client, we began the designing process by placing three ornamental rocks in a traditional Japanese manner, making use of the limited space in the most efficient way possible. This was followed by adding the gravel, the ground cover plants and a path of stepping stones. Afterwards, beautiful trees and a wonderful antique Kasuga Gata Ishidōrō stone lantern were integrated into the design. The last step was surrounding the garden with a bamboo fence and granite curbstones. We made a similar bamboo fence using the same techniques for the famous Japanese garden of Clingendael Park in The Hague.

After the design process, we selected the items together with our client from our own collection and started the construction process. During the construction process, we always inform our customers to the full extent and encourage them to provide as much feedback as they want. This way we can ensure that the final garden is exactly as our customer desires, which we definitely achieved with this project.
