The Koi Carp is a very famous element in Japanese Culture. The origin comes from a Chinese legend which has been brought to Japan later. It is said that if a Koi fish can jump across a specific waterfall called Ryumon, it will transform into a dragon, which is a symbol of auspicious in Japan.

The Vase is handcrafted from clay and baked in a traditional wood oven. The baking of the clay has turned the vase in a wonderful reddish color.
